Day in Bangkok
Made it to the hotel early this morning, slept four hours and took taxi to Jim Thompson's house. Read about him in more depth but the short story is that he was an American who turned the silk trade into an export business in the 50's and built himself a beautiful traditional Thai house and garden. As inpressive as it was when we saw it 42 years ago. I will post some pictures if I can figure out how. Afterwards we went to the MBK food court and had a beer and salad at 10:30 in the morning. (So jet lagged that it hit the spot!) . Took a taxi back to the hotel and slept and read and are now getting ready for Chao Phraya dinner cruise. Feel rested and ready to go!
